Fylde Antiquarian Home Page

This website is a mini anthology of local history. Although I am no expert, my interest ranges from the eighteenth century onwards. A primary source is the British Newspaper Archive offered via Find my past.

The web pages are limited to digests, focusing on he Fylde, my home turf. This is on the Lancashire coast in England, bordered to the north by the River Wyre, and to the south by the River Ribble, and to the west of Preston (shown in the map at Fig 1. to the south of the red area named Amounderness Hundred).
